Ultra short acting Barbiturates
Pharmacokinetics:
- More lipophilic than Metohexital
- Redistribution can decrease efficacy but we can’t readminister because of overdose risks
Indication:
Used to induce anesthesia (Anesthetics)
Especially in horse where Inhalation Anesthetics is more expensive
Less commonly used for Euthanasia
