- Ceftiofur-Na: Fast transformation, short hl, BID administration
- Ceftiofur-Hydrochloride: Longer transformation, medium hl, SID administration
- Ceftiofur Crystalline Free Acid CCFA: Longest transformation, long hl, duration of action: 4-5 days
Very high protein binding (99%) > Can’t cross special barriers > WP Milk 0 days

6.6 mg/kg SC
25 mg/mL for Ceftiofur-Na Inhalation
Authorized only for Farm animals (Pigs and Ruminants)

Very effective against Gr+ and Gr- infections
Indication:
- Respiratory infections: Fastidious bacteria
- Ceftiofur-Na can be given as Inhalation: 6x more concentrated in the lungs than in the rest of the system > decreased risks of resistance
- But it lacks literature proving its efficacy

- Foot rot: Anaerobic Gr- bacteria
- Soft tissues infections (Mastitis, Metritis…): Staphylococcus, Streptococcus
